Mission Statement

The mission of PS85Q, The Judge Charles J. Vallone, is to deliver rigorous, literacy-centered instruction that prepares every student for college and career readiness — including our multilingual learners and students with disabilities — through a collaborative teaching team, genuine family partnership, and a school culture built on high expectations and support for every learner.

About Us

PS85Q is a 3K - 5 elementary school that offers 3K and Pre-K for All, general education, special education and gifted and talented classes for your children.  Specials include Art, Technology, Physical Education, Dance, Music, and Science.  Every classroom has been outfitted with Lenovo desktop computers for every student and a BenQ Interactive board for instruction in our Main building and Prometheum boards for our Annex.
